Verdant Layers begins with a foundation wrapped in cotton strips dyed in shifting greens, building a dense, tactile ground. Horizontal and vertical threads then cross this surface, creating a subtle grid that holds the color like a woven scaffold.
A final organza veil, also dyed in green tones, is added on top, softening and diffusing what lies beneath. As light passes through this translucent skin, patches of pigment blur and resharpen, evoking glimpses of foliage, water, or shadowed paths—a quiet meditation on how memory and landscape overlap in many translucent layers.
