Emerald Currents is built on a painted wood base where bands of green, gray, and violet flow like contour lines of an inner landscape. A translucent organza layer sits on top, catching light and softly reflecting the painted forms beneath, which are further intensified with selective dyes.
This second skin turns the surface into a shifting field of depth and movement: colors hover, overlap, and dissolve into one another as the viewer changes position. The piece evokes a terrain in motion—like rivers of thought or energy carving their way through stone—suggesting how emotions and memories leave layered currents inside the body and the land.
